Columbus, Ohio native Lil' Bow Wow, known simply as Shad to his friends, began rapping when he was only six years old. When he threw out his stylings to the audience on the Chronic Tour, one of those most impressed was Snoop Dogg, who quickly nicknamed the young talent Lil' Bow Wow.
Things moved fast for Lil' Bow Wow, and by the age of 13 he had a long list of impressive credits by his name. He has worked on soundtracks for movies like the Wild Wild West and Big Momma's House, providing upbeat tracks like "Bounce with Me." He has been featured in a number of magazines, including Esquire, Vibe, and People. His photo has even been spread on millions of free book covers that Dr. Pepper produced for schools. In 2000, Lil' Bow Wow recorded a...a debut album, Beware of Dog, for So So Def label. Under the guidance of executive producer Jermaine Dupri, the young artist reached multi-platinum success and delivered a hit follow-up, Doggy Bag, in late 2001. One year later, he starred in his first feature film, Like Mike.

Bow Wow checked in with my homegirl Kendra G., morning show co-host of the "Trey the Chocolate Jock Morning Jump-off" (Power 92 Chicago), to promote his new CD yesterday and boy did he have a lot to say! Well first of all he told Kendra G that he doesn't think Jesse Jackson's ban against the n-word is going to work! According to Bow Wow, trying to ban the n-word is pretty much impossible! (Be a man and stand up for something, Wowter - be a big dog. It will work if daring people try it.) He also talked about his ex-girlfriend Ciara or "Lil Mama." She's bigger than he is! Well he admitted that Ciara is still a sensitive subject but they are still cool and very supportive of each other careers. Well Bow Wow said out of respect for Ciara he can't really talk about it and that him and Ciara are the only ones who really know what happen!! Out of respect for Ciara? Hmmmmm...

While Bow Wow stopped by 106 & Park and got to chill with Mya he was wearing a pair of the Air Jordan Spizike Kings County. We all know Bow Wow is big on sneakers especially Air Jordan’s, so spotting him in a pair that will not release for sometime is not impossible to imagine. An official release date has not been determined but I was told to expect them sometime in October 2007.
